Task Force Against Substance Abuse

Mission: “Working together with community and youth to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent substance Abuse.” Vision: A healthy community connecting youth and adults.

 The Lake Mills Task Force Against Substance Abuse was established in January 2006 and is funded through a DHF Grant. The office is located in the lower level of the Truman Helgeson Civic Center in the former Youth Center.

The Coalition focuses on working with youth and adults to provide education on prevention strategies and the dangers of underage drinking. This is accomplished through monthly coalition meetings and various prevention activities with youth and adults.

Community Members are encouraged to attend the monthly coalition meetings held the last Thursday of every month at 12 noon at the Task Force Office.
