The Country School Museum and the 1901 Victorian House are projects of the Lake Mills Area Historical Society.

The Country School Museum is located in the 300 block of North Mill Street and depicts a rural country school in the early 1900s. The furnishings are predominately original to the building. The building is open for tours by appointment and on Sunday afternoons during the summer months. There is also a meeting room in the basement.

1901 Victorian House and Gardens, located at 308 S. Lincoln, This home is being restored to its original grandeur and is open for tours and special meetings, showers, graduations, weddings and other occasions. Gardens are established around the house.
