Lake Mills Community School (LMCS) District includes the cities and rural area of Joice, Scarville, and Lake Mills. The school's new and renovated facilities are reflective of the support from each patron in the district.

Lake Mills Community School has received numerous recognitions on the state and national level. Grades K-prep through 12 attend classes in Lake Mills, with a 20:1 teacher/student ration. Technology is a vital part of the curriculum with a ratio of two students for each computer.

LMCS was one of 64 schools nation-wide to be named a "Service Learning Leader"

Two and four-year degree programs are available at colleges located within a driving distance of 45 minutes or less from Lake Mills.
